The Annual NYC Gala
The Annual NYC Gala benefits various departments at Israel’s Rabin Medical Center. This premier charity event attracts notable businesses and government leaders. Honorees and speakers have included President William Clinton, Prime Minister John Major, Governor George Pataki, Ambassador Dennis Ross, UN Ambassador John Bolton, Larry Silverstein, Mortimer Zuckerman, NYC Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, Alan Patricof, Stephen Siegel, Robert Ivanhoe, and Alan Dershowitz. Larry King and Charlie Rose have presided as masters of ceremony. Each year, guests enjoy exhilarating performances from talented artists including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and Broadway stars, Elli Wallach, Marvin Hamlisch, Chita Rivera, Robert Klein, Charles Strousse, and violinist Shlomo Mintz.
