A Doctor's Photograph is Worth a Thousand Words

It seems that Dr. Ilya Kagan, Rabin Medical Center's Nursing Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator, has commendable talents in other fields as well. An avid photographer, one of his photos recently won first prize in the Clalit Health Services Photography Contest. Hundreds of photographs were entered in the contest by Rabin Medical Center personnel and judged by a team of experts. Dr. Kagan's photo "Buttercup Fields" was chosen, as the judges felt that it best fit the competition theme: Scenery and Nature of Israel. The angle of the shot and the brilliant bright colors make the field come alive.

Dr. Ilya Kagan said as he received his award, "Photography is a hobby which gives me both great pleasure and an optimistic way of looking at the beautiful things in life, which we often take for granted and forget to think about in our day to day life. I take these good feelings to my workplace and they help me to bring positive energy to my work surroundings and to the people who work with me."
