The American Friends of Rabin Medical Center welcomed the New England Chapter on May 6, 2012 to a private brunch hosted by long time supporters of Rabin Medical Center.

Guest speakers Dr. Lawrence Shulman, Chief Medical Officer & Sr. VP for Medical Affairs, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Dr. Aaron Allen, Director of the New Technology Unit at the Davidoff Center. Dr. Shulman spoke on the "Advances in Cancer Care & Research: The Power of Collaborations" to illustrate the vital partnership between the Dana-Farber Institute and the Davidoff Cancer Center at Rabin Medical Center. The Davidoff Cancer Center, opened in 2005, is a free standing building on the Rabin Medical Center Campus. This uniquely advanced facility was established thanks to the vision and overwhelming generosity of the Davidoff Family. The Davidoff Center's International Board, a group of experts from leading institutions around the globe, meet regularly in Israel to share their work, knowledge, and advancements in the field. The cancer center is the most advanced in Israel and the Middle East.

Guests were also treated to a colorful presentation of Dr. Allen's participation in the Rabin Medical Center's Running Together to Save Lives Marathon in Tel Aviv.
