Israel’s Rabin Medical Center and its major role in Operation “Rising Lion”

Rabin Medical Center medical staff in the underground hospital

Since the Iranian missile attacks in June, Rabin Medical Center is a primary medical hospital for hundreds of wounded civilians and soldiers.

When the missiles hit, within three and a half hours, eight medical departments and 42 dedicated intensive care stations were relocated to the emergency underground hospital. This included 386 beds and 100 patients. With minimal disruption to patient care, the hospital continued with its dedicated specialized care to all of its patients.

42 intensive care stations were set up, allocating 4-5 staff members to each individual IC patient to ensure that their life saving equipment remained fully functional.

Hundreds of injured individuals (including children) have been treated at Rabin Medical Center, with a range of injuries from the attacks. Medical staff is painfully reminded of the feeling when October 7 occurred, and that same intense commitment and sense of purpose leads them to continue to work 24/7 to treat, rehabilitate, and heal the wounded.

In an international news report, Rabin Medical Center stated: “We are deeply proud of our staff, who continue to stand on the frontlines - for our soldiers, civilians, and their families.”
