In the middle of August during the Israel-Lebanon war, Stephen and Yvette Cohen Pomerantz hosted an event at their New York City home with Dr. Dean Ad-El, Director of Plastic Surgery at Rabin Medical Center. Dr. Ad-El spoke to the assembled about "Israel & Rabin Medical Center Facing War," and a new piece of equipment for burn treatment was donated.
Two families donated the organs of their brain-dead loved ones over the weekend, resulting in eight organ transplants in hospitals around the country.

Any hospital in Israel would have been proud to deliver her baby, but Noa Rotman, the granddaughter of the late Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin, decided to give birth at the hospital which bears his name, Rabin Medical Center.
